Maker Advent of Chemnitz 2025 - Making instead of just marvelling
In CHEMNITZ. ZWICKAU. REGION. the spirit of do-it-yourself has taken centre stage for centuries - and the Maker Advent of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 continues this tradition. Under the motto "The best things are always homemade!", Advent 2024 from 25 November to 23 December will be a time for hands-on activities. Workshops, associations, artists and creative people will open their doors and invite you to work, turn, lace, print, bake and sing . The region becomes one big workshop where the art of craftsmanship is revived. The tools glow during turning the ink flows in historical techniques during printing and the baking smells of cinnamon and almonds.
In the European Capital of Culture Region 2025 Advent is not just about visiting Christmas markets - it's about designing, creating together and living creativity. There are countless participation programmes to inspire, which are not just for children but for all age groups. The Maker Advent is a meeting place where people can talk to each other, laugh together, work together and, above all, do one thing: be creative together.
